The Link Building Tool collects a list of link-building opportunities for your domain and provides you with a management interface to run an outreach campaign in order to potentially acquire links. Having this tool directly in Semrush makes it easy to run competitive analysis on your SEO rivals and operate an outreach campaign at the same time.
- Large lists of outreach prospects based on target keywords and competitors
- Built-in workflow to manage the outreach process
- Gmail and Google Search Console integration
- Automatic contact information retrieval for target websites
- “Monitor” report to follow your campaign’s progress over time
Normally when you want to delete a specific Project tool, you will have to delete the whole project. This will remove all of the other campaigns set up in the Project.
Projects cannot be recovered once they are deleted so it's important to be careful when deleting a project. Only delete a project if you are 100 percent sure because all of your data will be gone forever.
However, the Link Building tool does allow you to restart your campaign without deleting your entire Project. You can do this by clicking on the green update prospects dropdown menu in the top right corner of the Prospects dashboard.
This will give you the option to update your prospects with our current settings (the campaign will simply re-collect prospects) or restart your link-building campaign completely (which will bring you to the settings menu).
Importing Links
If you use the free version of Semrush, you can import up to 100 domains to a Link Building Tool campaign. If you have any paid level of subscription, up to 10,000 domains can be imported into the Link Building Tool via the form.
Gmail
When you connect a Gmail account to this tool to conduct outreach, you will be limited to no more than 500 emails sent per day from the connected account. This limit is distributed between all of your Projects where you have the same email connected to a Link Building Tool or Backlink Audit campaign.
